about this artist

Jürgen Teller was born in Erlangen, Germany in 1964, but in 1986 moved to London and began producing fashion photography for magazines such as I.D., The Face and Arena.

His 'anti-fashion' portraits helped establish a highly influential portraiture style and he is regarded as one of the most important photographers of his generation.
