One of the latest in a seemingly endless profusion of acclaimed German painters, Volker Hueller works in both semi-figurative and abstract modes.
The interwoven planes in the images shown are typical of his usual compositional format, although with emphasis placed on swathes of rich colour rather than the fanciful drawing that dominates his representational works, Hueller's abstraction is, for us, the more immediately powerful of his styles.
