Los Angeles artist Anthony Pearson works with photography and sculpture to create varied pieces with a conceptual/abstract basis.
A leakage of light in the artist's camera is used to create circular abstractions which are then fixed to slim lengths of board and arranged alongside metal objects (below).
For other works, drawings on foil are photographed, then solarised to create abstractions of an abstraction.
With his multi-disciplinary approach, Pearson joins artists such as Markus Amm and Walead Beshty whose concern is to push photography into new areas of process-based art-making.
